Kintsugi is a technique of repairing broken ceramics and applying gold or silver or lacquer to the cracks. This technique, which emphasizes the scars rather than hiding them. It has been revered in Japan since ancient times as an art form that embraces imperfection and revitalizes it.
Traditional kintsugi requires as long as two months to complete, but this workshop uses a food-safe epoxy which hardens in a short time making it an easy way to experience kintsugi.
