Season of Hunger

In a tropical forest, plants extract nutrients from the earth. But a pot holds very little soil, so your houseplants will slowly run out of nutrients. Fertilize every one or two months between May and September. Put the fertilizer by base of the root, using only small amounts each time. Too much fertilizer could damage the plant.
